Rocio La Rosa is an Associate Attorney at Lucas & Barba, LLP in Los Angeles, where she handles removal defense, special immigrant & family-based immigration law matters, including U visas, VAWA, Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) petitions, consular processing and waivers. She is a Peruvian native, who immigrated to the United States with her mother in 2000. She graduated from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law and the University of California Irvine. During law school, she specialized in International and Comparative Law, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Chicanoa/o-Latina/o Law Review. Her prior experience includes serving as a Law Fellow for the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice, as well as a Judicial Extern for the Los Angeles Superior Court. She represents clients in U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services cases, as well as before the Immigration Court and California State Courts in connection with Special Immigrant Juvenile matters. Ms. La Rosa speaks Spanish and is admitted to practice law by the State Bar of California.
